Watercolor Reflection Jan-27-2012
- The good or strong parts of my paintings is the unity because I have a strong mixture of warm and cold colors in every painting.
- I think I could have done the details better because some colors mix unproperly in areas and could have made colors more sharper.
- The major way that the 3 painting tie together is that they all have a form of warm and cold colors.
- I chose for past: warm colors beacuse when you think of Florida and sunsets it tends to think of bright colors; Present: all because my life is all jumbled together with warm, cold, and neutral "stages", Future: warm and cold because my life has a dark and bright side that I have to choose.
- I conclude that watercolor painting takes an eye for detail because you have to be able to tell how much lighter or darker (more or less water) you need the coloring to be in able to blend and look good.
- I learned that you need to be patient and do everything right; for example the colors can bleed together if you rush it and it can ruin the details.
- Past: It is the sunset in Siesta key which is my favorite vaction and I wanna go back! Present: It is a swirl that is showing my life is a crazy cycle of both bad a good things with the warm and cool colors. Future: It is branching out my life choices and showing the different paths I can take whether good or bad.
- I learned that too much water wont make the color dark enough and not enough wont help the paint spread.
My priliminaries represented my past present and future. Past: vacation at siesta key Present: my crazy spiral of a life Future: my life choices that branch out and combine together.
