Reflection
1. Describe: What is your project? What materials did you use to make it? How long did it take you to make? My project is an abstract painting of a nail polish bottle, brush, and rainbow leaf. It started off as an oil painting but later got covered up by acrylic paint. It took my a little under a month.
2. Evaluate: What are the good / strong parts of your project? What is done well and why? The strong part i like in this painting is the contrast between the rainbow bottle and leather-like background.
3.Evaluate: What do you think you could have done better on this project and why? I could have done a better jobe with the bottle because to me it doesnt look very 3 dimensional.
4. Describe the attributes of your theme / unity: What is the deeper meaning of the project? What are you trying to communicate? What details did you use to reflect that theme? My theme would be rainbow because I try and add it a lot in the painting because the room that it's going to be in have a rainbow theme as well.
5. Describe the important elements used in your design (at least 2): What are the important elements? Why do you believe those are the most important? Color and Value. The most important element would be Value because i needed to use different values to make everything blend and 3-D
6. Describe the important principles used in your design (at least 2): What are the important principles? Why do you believe those are the most important? Contrast and Unity. The most important principal is Contrast how the bottle and cap go from dark to light and the bright rainbow stands out against the dark leatherly background.
7. Metacognate What did you learn from this project that you could apply to other projects in the future? What lessons could be applied to life in general? Why? I learned that painting sucks and that this is one of the last times im doing it. To apply to life im gonna hire painters to paint my house thats how much i hate painting.
