1. Describe: What is your project? What materials did you use to make it? How long did it take you to make? I did a burger and fry painting for Culvers. I used a mixture of acrylic paint and water color painting for the background. The painting took me about 4 weeks to finish.
2. Evaluate: What are the good / strong parts of your project? What is done well and why? I think the good / strong parts of my project are _____, because ____. To me the good parts would be a tie between some of the fries and I think that the bun is good because I like how the shades contrast perfectly.
3. Evaluate: What do you think you could have done better on this project and why? I could have done a better job with ___, because ___. I think I could have done a better job on the blue box because to me it doesn't look very 3D
4. Describe the attributes of your theme / unity: What is the deeper meaning of the project? What are you trying to communicate? What details did you use to reflect that theme? I tried to communicate to people that the food looks good and to buy it. I focused on the detail on the burger to make them look lifelike.
5. Describe the important elements (blue-titled posters hanging in the art room) used in your design (at least 2): What are the important elements? Why do you believe those are the most important? Form, Space, and Color. To me the most important was form so that the burger, all the ingredients and the fries look like they do in real life.
6. Describe the important principles (red-titled posters hanging in the art room) used in your design (at least 2): What are the important principles? Why do you believe those are the most important? Movement and Emphasis. I have it that the Burger is first and biggest that they see before the fries so that maybe when people see it, that is what they want to eat.
7. Metacognate (think about your thinking!!!): What did you learn from this project that you could apply to other projects in the future? What lessons could be applied to life in general? Why? I learned that drawing and painting food on an empty stomach SUCKS! But I also learned that grid drawing helps with small details. I can learn to eat breakfast haha and to focus more on little details.
EXCEEDING:
8. Evaluate and list the design process of your project (all of the steps you took to make it). First I... Then I... First I had to grid out the picture, then first draw in all the big figures, then lightly drew in the details so i knew what and where to put them, then i painted all the base colors of the fries, burger, bun, ingredients, and box, then went back and put in all the shading and final detail, finally the background to contrast the bright painting.
9. Why did you do the project the way you did? Was it planned? What is by chance? What changes did you have to make along the way (if any changes were necessary)? Elaborate... It was planned out from the picture i got off the internet and the idea from my manager. I would chang some of the fries and add a custard so people can see that.
10. Was this a worthwhile project for yourself and why? What project will you be doing next and why? Yes because i get to see it everyday i go into work and admire it. My next project will be a collage of pictures and a drawing of the Seattle Space Needle when we leave for Seattle.
