Reflection
1. Describe: What is your project? What materials did you use to make it? How long did it take you to make? My project is a drawing of hands holding a leaf. It is made out of tag board and colored pencils. It took me exactly a month to completely finish it
2. Evaluate: What are the good / strong parts of your project? What is done well and why? I think the strong part of my drawing is the shading from the leaf and the contrast of different skin tones
3. Evaluate: What do you think you could have done better on this project and why? I think the nails and contrasting from the leaf with those coulda been worked better on
4. Describe the attributes of your theme / unity: What is the deeper meaning of the project? What are you trying to communicate? What details did you use to reflect
that theme? I tried to communicate the contrast between the leaf and the hands to make them seem life-like and soothing.
5. Describe the important elements (blue-titled posters hanging in the art room) used in your design (at least 2): What are the important elements? Why do
you believe those are the most important? Form and value, the most important being the value between the lights and darks of the leaf and the hands and skin tones
6. Describe the important principles (red-titled posters hanging in the art room) used in your design (at least 2): What are the important principles? Why
do you believe those are the most important? Contrast and Emphasis, I tried putting more emphasis on the leaf to make it stand out more than the hands
7. Metacognate (think about your thinking!!!): What did you learn from this project that you could apply to other projects in the future? What lessons could be applied to life in general? Why? I learned that drawing is my main "forte" for art. Im going to draw more often
EXCEEDING:
8. Evaluate and list the design process of your project (all of the steps you took to make it). 1st I drew the priliminaries and grided them, then I had to cut the tag board to the right size, then grided the board, then drew the outline of the leaf and hands, I first colored the leaf to work around it, then I did the palms before i worked on the fingers, then i added the Green Leaf Spa as a spur of the moment idea, then i colored the background, finally i colored the nails
9. Why did you do the project the way you did? Was it planned? What is by chance? What changes did you have to make along the way (if any changes were necessary)? Elaborate... The project went exactly how i wanted it to.
10. Was this a worthwhile project for yourself and why? What project will you be doing next and why? I loved it anything to do with drawing is my favorite and i have no clue just yet.
