Reflection
1. Describe: What is your project? What materials did you use to make it? How long did it take you to make? I did a drawing of the 1st hole and clubhouse of Veterans Memorial Golf Course. I used pencil and colored pencils. It took me about roughly 3 1/2 weeks to finish it.
2. Evaluate: What are the good / strong parts of your project? What is done well and why? To me the strong parts are the shading and shadows. they contrast each other and make everything stand out.
3. Evaluate: What do you think you could have done better on this project and why? I could have worked on small details a little more. To be honest I dont think that the trees look life like up close.
4. Describe the attributes of your theme / unity: What is the deeper meaning of the project? What are you trying to communicate? What details did you use to reflect that theme? To me the deeper meaning is that even everyday things can be seen differently. The angle and shadows show another way to look at the hole then just from the green or fareway.
5. Describe the important elements used in your design :What are the important elements? Why do you believe those are the most important? Texture and Value. The most important is value so you can see all the shadows and shading.
6. Describe the important principles used in your design: What are the important principles? Why do you believe those are the most important? Emphasis and Pattern. The most important is emphasis where the dominance is the green but the focus is on the shading.
7. Metacognate What did you learn from this project that you could apply to other projects in the future? What lessons could be applied to life in general? Why? I learned that doing something differently pays off in the end. This is my first landscape and i tried new techniques with the sky and trees. In life you can go away from the norm.
